Mobile Elevated Platforms - MEWP

Mobile elevated platforms typically include:

A full range of national recognised mobile elevated platforms (MEWP) training courses can be arranged and delivered at your premises or ours.

Mobile elevated platforms courses (MEWP) are normally 1 to 3 days duration depending on experience with a max of 6 delegates.

NOTE it is the customers responsibility to ensure the machine used for training has current LOLER certificate and that personnel protective equipment (PPE) are supplied for all delegates if training is at your premises.

What MEWP is Classed as a Mobile Vertical Elevated Platform?

If mobile elevated platforms can be maneuvered from height when in use, they would be classed as mobile vertical platforms. If the mobile elevated platform (MEWP) requires outriggers when in use, it would be classed as a static vertical platform.

Scissor Lift Training Course

The Scissor lift training course can be done at your premises or ours ... or indeed anywhere in the UK. A scissor lift training course usually lasts about 7 hours.

Scissor Lift Training Timetable

A typical scissor lift training day goes as follows:

8am start with the scissor lift course registration,
scissor lift course introduction,
NPORS safety awareness & theory talk,
theory test,
lunch,
scissor lift inspection - correct use and reach targets,
scissor lift practical skills test,
question and answer session,
finish.

Cherry Picker Training (Mobile Boom)

A cherry picker is a self propelled boom used to work at height. Cherry picker training is usually done at the employee's workplace but can be arranged at our premises if needed.

All cherry picker training courses usually involve about 7 hours training (up to 6 delegates) and the delegates receive a nationally recognised certificate on completion of the course.

A typical cherry picker training day goes as follows:

8am start with the cherry picker course registration,
introduction and NPORS safety awareness,
intro to different types of MEWP,
safety pre-start checks,
cherry picker operator training,
lunch,
practical test on a cherry picker,
